New Year 2009: Fireworks in Manchester City Centre...

Partly to mark my move to Manchester at the end of 2008 we decided to spend New Year at my new batchelor pad in Castlefield. After failing to get anywhere booked for a meal (and deciding even we couldn't drink £35 worth of alcohol per person) we opted for a pasta party at home.

As usual there was far too much food, far too much drink and far too much washing up the next day! But the fireworks were good at midnight (even if they were painfully timed to the music!).

A walk in Ramsbottom helped us walk of the excesses of the night before the following day.
